2e prize 2. prize : Unite IRA du CHUV sur le site de Cery, Prilly
Excerpt from the jury report :
“Despite the densification, the “X-Ray” project manages to preserve many of the qualities of the historic park in the form of a contemporary research campus. It offers a complex sequence of open spaces in the center of the site, which carry over to the Cedars building without repeating the pattern of symmetry and at the same time offering generous cross-connections. The different and specific qualities of these places promise a varied journey through the new campus, in which visitors and workers will be able to find their niches and places for relaxation, exchange and retreat. Green spaces unfold, all creating very precise connections with the respective existing context.”
